On 28 March 2007, the SMSB Science Dept teachers and students had made a visit to Brunei Satellite Earth Station in Telesai. Upon arrival, we were welcomed and brief by the Senior Executive, Hj Talip bin Hj Hitam. The Satellite Earth Station is still in operation since 1979 and provide technology in serving to connect Brunei to the Global Communication.

SMSB Cross-country 2007
|
|
Sekolah Menengah Sufri Bolkiah recently had cross-country on the last day of first term 2007. The students were divided into 4 categories according to their age. Among all trails which starts and ends in SMSB, the most challenging one is running up the Bukit Ambok. But the funs does not stop there as you can see from the participants' happy faces. Anyway, congratulation to all winners and those who didn't win, try your best again for the coming sport day.

SMSB Science Department Annual Dinner 2007
|
|
|
SMSB Science Department members and family had their annual dinner in Pantai Restaurant, Empire Hotel. They had enjoyed a big feast of sea-foods and live ascoutic singer there. Joining with us were our Principal, Cikgu Adnan (still doing his degree) and Cikgu Shadiyat (recently transferred to Mahad Islam Brunei).

Perlawanan Bowling SMSB 2006
|
|
Pada 22hb September 2006, SMSB mengadakan perlawanan Ten-pin bowling antara guru-guru. Seramai 4 pasukan lelaki dan 5 peserta perempuan secara individual menunjukkan bakat masing-masing. Akhirnya BB Pro bowlers yang diwakili oleh saya sendiri dan Azrin menjuarai Acara pasukan lelaki dan Ana menjuarai semua peserta perempuan berindividu. Tahniah. Pada yang tidak berjaya, berusahalah lagi.

Soccer Beach Match

Hari Jumaat lepas, 4hb Ogos 2006, SMSB telah mengadakan perlawanan bolasepak pantai 5 sepasukan di antara rumah-rumah. Perlawanan tersebut telah diadakan di Pantai Seri Kenangan Tutong, Brunei. Semua 4 pasukan rumah-rumah telahpun menunjukkan kehebatan teknik bermain dan bertungkus-lumus untuk mendapatkan jaringan gol seberapa banyak yang boleh, tapi akhirnya rumah Bendahari Badar lah yang menjadi Juara keseluruhan. Tahniah Bendahari Badar.

XPDC ke Gua Niah, Sarawak

Hari minggu lepas pada 11hb Jun 2006, Kumpulan Tindakan Anti-Dadah dan guru-guru SMSB telah pun mengadakan XPDC ke Gua Niah, Sarawak. Kami mula berlepas dari SMSB Brunei pada pukul 5.45 am dan sampai ke Niah National Park kira-kira 8.30 am. Berjalan kaki ke Gua Niah dari pusat Niah National park mengambil masa 45 min, sejauh 3km. Kami juga menyinggahi Museum Gua Niah di sepanjang jalan tersebut. Apabila sampai di Gua Niah, kami mengambil kesempatan untuk bergambar sini sana. Menurut Pengawas Rombongan kami, Gua Niah ini ada keunikannya yang tersendiri seperti tempat perkuburan lama bagi orang-orang di zaman Purba dan masa ini gua ini adalah tempat burung-burung layang-layang membuat sarang. Setelah meneroka gua itu, kami pun balik ke Pusat dan balik ke Brunei Darussalam. Pengalaman kami ini adalah amat menyeronokkan walaupun kami dah letih sangat

LEGO robotic workshop
|

|
Last week, I had attended the LEGO robotic workshop in STEP centre. This workshop had given us some basics idea on how to teach students to build robot out of LEGO bricks and parts base on their creativity and using computer to programme the robots they built as required during the Robotic Challenge in August 2006. Anyway we enjoyed the workshop very much as you can see how enthusiatic and excited everyone is.

XPDC to Kg. Sukang

On 7 May 2006, the SMSB with Asriza's 4*4 adventure team had an adventurous trip to Kg. Sukang. The trip was a quite rough due to some obstacles we have been through but we managed to get through all those with the expertise of the Asriza's 4*4 adventure team members. I had captured some of the moments and let the pictures tell you the whole story of our trips.
